The Holiday Season

The holiday season can be an opportunity to journey within. It can be a time to self-reflect on the past year and embark on a sentimental journey of the year's happenings. It can also be a time to reflect on our blessings and seek out ways to make our own lives, as well as the lives of those around us, better. Yet, the holidays are not always a magical time for everyone. Connecting with family and friends makes our hearts full, but acknowledging that others will not be with us this holiday season can hurt our hearts. Seeing old friends and family members may be exciting or may bring up memories of disappointments. And, let's not forget, the hustle and bustle during this time often leaves us feeling exhausted and stressed. Thus, it's easy to understand that feelings of sadness, uncertainty, and fatigue are not uncommon during the holiday season. So, this holiday season put your feet up, spend some quiet alone time, find joy, and most importantly, take the time to take care of yourself.
