Dear CMS Families,

It's been a great week at CMS! Our students were fabulous when our guest speaker visited on Thursday! I am proud of the way the demonstrated what being a COLT is all about! We hope everyone has a safe and warm weekend! I'm sure our students will be eagerly awaiting any news about school on Monday :)

COLT PRIDE AWARDS!

Every week our staff members have the opportunity to nominate one CMS Student to receive a Colt Pride Award. These students have demonstrated at least one of our Colt Pride Values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, Excellence! Way to go COLTS!

Assistant Principal Corner

STAAR Interims are required for both Science and History this year and will be administered during the regular class period following the normal bell schedule.

The testing window for 8th Grade Science/Biology and 8th Grade History is January 27–29.

Please note:

There will be no makeup testing for students who are absent.
Bells will remain on during testing.
Students will need chromebooks and chargers

Thank you for your support in ensuring a smooth testing window.

Testing in February for 6th Grade:

February 3, 2026- 6th grade ONLY, will be taking a Reading STAAR Field Test.

Each month, students and/or staff nominate teachers for using strategies that help them learn their content and keep them engaged.
Ms. Kreag is always looking for new strategies to deepen student content knowledge!
Students note that some strategies used are focused note taking, collaborative structures in class, and quickwrites.

Welcome to Colleyville Middle School PTA! Our goal is to connect with our school community by hosting fun events such as Back to School Social, Spirit Nights and so much more. We partner 100% with our wonderful school to make it the very best! Your PTA memberships and donations fund various school improvement projects, school programs, and continuing education for our teachers.We can’t wait to partner with you!

2026-2027 PTA Interest Form

Plans are underway for an outstanding 2026-2027 school year! The CMS PTA extends to you the opportunity to share your time and talents for the benefit of our children. We welcome fresh perspectives, imaginative ideas and your willingness to become involved. Your interest does not constitute a commitment. We welcome your questions so that you may find a volunteer slot that best suits your interests. Officer Positions will be elected during the March General Meeting. Those interested in chair positions will be contacted by the incoming officers after the March election. Please submit your interest form no later than Sunday, February 8th.

Join us on Saturday, January 31st for a night of dancing, food, and FUN! Tickets are now on sale for this year’s 7th Grade Winter Dance. Tickets are $20 and will include dinner and dessert.
