8th Grade Trip 8th Grade Trip

Hello everyone,

While we do not have the final price as of yet for our 8th grade trip, we wanted to give you a "Save the Date" and an estimate. We will have much more detailed information at a later date.

June 2 - Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom

Approximate cost: $72 (Typically, our HSA provides a per-child donation in the $7-$10 range to offset some of the cost).

Collection: There will be a collection window between 2/2-2/12 where permission slips, medical information, and money will be collected.

Parents/Guardians: If you intend on chaperoning, you must have all clearances completed when you turn in your paperwork (parents will not be provided a discount like students from HSA)

*Only students who return their information and payment during the collection window will be guaranteed a space as we must submit final payments for buses.

Families facing financial difficulties should reach out to their child's counselor.

Art Classes Art Classes

In Mrs. Schenfelt's sixth-grade Introduction to Art classes, students are developing their drawing skills by using shapes and lines to achieve accurate proportions. They've also learned pencil shading techniques to enhance the realism of their drawings. These skills will be applied to create detailed animal or insect illustrations using a technique called stippling, where tiny dots show value. Stay tuned for their amazing creations!

Meanwhile, Mrs. Schenfelt's seventh-grade classes have completed a lesson on Neurographic Art. As part of Centennial's SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) initiative, students created artwork as a tool to manage stress. This artistic method, developed by a psychologist, helps transform stress into beauty.
