November's Newsletter
Good afternoon SMS Learning Community,
We are in the full swing of fall. There are so many things to celebrate beginning with our school report card Sandwich Middle School is approaching exemplary! We are working hard to get everyone involved in the process of learning. We are extremely proud of our 5th graders and all of the hard work they are displaying with our new reading program CKLA. Our 5th graders are extending their vocabulary, and they are sharing this information with the entire building. Last week, we celebrated our Fun, Fun, Fun Friday! Shout out to Mrs. Harmon and our Student Council for all of their hard work. Students enjoyed our whole school assembly. Congratulations to the winners of our three electronic skateboards. Congratulations to our Student of Months of August, September, and October. We celebrated these students on November 4th. Thank you to the Fundfinders Committee and Student Council for making this event a success. Our parents were very excited for the invitation to celebrate with their students. Thank you to all of our educators who shared in the celebration!
Parent-teacher conferences are November 23rd and 24th. We look forward to seeing parents in the building as we share our students academic achievements as well as opportunities. During this time teachers will be sharing student goals according to our Fastbridge data. Students work on IXL for reading and math every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please encourage your student(s) to focus on their individual learning goals. Goals will go home with students at or after Parent Teacher Conferences.
