SUMMERTIME!! SUMMERTIME!!

WE MADE IT

The children have gone home and their cubbies are empty. The 2022-23 school year is DONE!

Your children have grown in so many different ways this year - it's hard to describe! Not only are they taller and wearing bigger shoes - they are able to do things they couldn't do 10 months ago -watching them grow and mature is the highlight of every teacher's year. I'd like to list all of the different ways the children have grown but the list would be too long and I know I would miss something....but please know, we saw the important things - the way a child approached his/her work, the way the children are now cooperatively playing in groups, they way that they help each other if someone needs a hand....it's an incredible privilege to be able to see.

We look forward to seeing most of you again on June 5 for ELC Summer Camp - SHARK WEEK!

I would like to share that this is my last year in the ELC. I will be retiring, my last day on campus will be June 23. Forty years in preschool is a very long time and these past 13 years as Director of the L. Daniel Hutto Early Learning Center have been the highlight of my career. I've enjoyed (almost :) every moment and mean it when I say thank you for sharing your precious children with us. We recognize the sacrifices many of you have made for your children to come to the ELC at FSDB and we strive to live up to the trust you've placed in us.

It's been a honor to know all of you and your darling children,

Thank you!

Gail
