Unity Day Fun
- The goal of Unity Day is to bring students, parents, educators, and the community across the nation together to emphasize that bullying is not acceptable and that all students deserve to be safe in school, online, and in the community.
- On October 22nd, our school wore orange to show that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
- Orange is a color commonly associated with the month of October and the autumn season. It is also a color that is associated with safety and visibility. It is a warm, inviting color that makes an impactful statement.
Red Ribbon Week!
Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is an annual alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence prevention campaign in the United States that takes place in October. It began in 1985 as a tribute to DEA Special Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, who was murdered while on duty. The campaign is the nation's most significant and longest-running drug awareness and prevention program. Its purpose is to educate and promote awareness about the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drug use, and to prevent violence. This is a nationwide program that involves communities, schools, and parents in drug prevention efforts. Students are encouraged to show their support to stay drug-free throughout the week.
