Spooktacular Fun and Community Spirit at Cahaba
The week of Halloween brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and learning at Cahaba Elementary! Each day was filled with festive fun and community involvement that made the week extra special for our students.
All week long, students tested their math and estimation skills with a daily Candy Jar Challenge. Each morning featured a new jar of candy, and students eagerly submitted their best guesses. The student closest to the correct number won the jar to take home! It was a sweet and engaging way to reinforce math standards while adding a touch of Halloween excitement.
Our community partners and families also joined in on the fun! On Tuesday, students were greeted at the doors by moms dressed as cheerful grannies. Wednesday’s welcome came from the friendly mascots of First Baptist Church Trussville, and Thursday brought laughter as dads showed up in costume as Minions and Gru from Despicable Me!
The combination of learning, laughter, and community made for a memorable week at Cahaba. We’re thankful for our parents and partners who make school days so full of joy and connection!
