Kinsner Elementary’s annual Book Fair is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see you there! Student’s shop during their class's scheduled time September 25th through September 29th. We invite all our families to join us on Thursday, September 28th from 5-8 p.m. for Family Night! Browse the Book Fair AND grab dinner! Sauced Wood Fired Pizza Truck and Kona Ice will be available for purchase. Donatos Night for Kinsner!
Join us for a "Dough-Nations" fundraiser night by placing a PICK UP or DELIVERY order from Donatos Pizza in Strongsville (14694 Pearl Rd.) on Wednesday, September 13th from 4-8pm. 20% of sales will be donated back to Kinsner Elementary! Families we are well on our way into the school year. Teachers have taught expectations. By now you may have heard a few acronyms: PBIS or PRIDE. Lets take a moment and unpack all of this.

• PBIS Language- When you hear PRIDE we mean Prepared, Respectful, Inclusive, Determined, Engaged. These are the expectations that we hope to see students exhibit inside and outside of school.

• PRIDE Matrix- Here is the PRIDE Matrix (image). These act as guidelines for how students show PRIDE in each location of the school. These are excellent for students to reference when they are not sure what to do.

• Student Acknowledgement- Each week we hand out PRIDE tickets to students who show PRIDE at different points of the school day. The ticket earners then enter their tickets into a class raffle. Every Friday we call one name from each class to receive a reward. Congrats this week to our PRIDE Ticket winners. (Image)

PRIDE Extension: This is where we will house a tip or challenge to promote our understanding and development of PRIDE. Feeling overwhelmed with the information? Your child may be too. This week is a Tip: Learn with your child. Create a visual of PRIDE in your house and reference it in discussion with your child. I like posting the PRIDE words on the Fridge!!!
