Hello CPS Families,
As we entered our April break, we ended the school day with some serious fun! CPS participated in a March Madness tournament bracket featuring non-fiction books. The students at CPS voted on their favorite books and it came down to 2 books, "The True and Lucky Life of a Turtle" written by: Sy Montgomery and Matt Patterson and "The Secret Life of a Sea Turtle" written by : Maddalena Bearzi.
The winner is... "The Secret Life of a Sea Turtle!!"
We also celebrated our top 3 read-a-thon winners from each grade with a duct taping of Ms. Pattershall to the gym wall! The photos are so iconic and it was a great time!
After April break, beginning on Monday the 27th, CPS will participate in Bikes for Books and there will be raffle tickets sent home for families to keep track of home reading. 10 minutes of reading equals one raffle ticket and the sheets of tickets are due back on May 11th. Our all school assembly on May 15th at 1:00 will reveal the winners from each grade.
We here at CPS hope you all have a fun April break and enjoy this time recharging for the home stretch of this school year. Thank you for all that you do.
