Growing Together At EEE!
We have been busy completing our ATLAS screeners, and we are so proud of the hard work our students are showing! These screeners give our teachers valuable information about where each child is academically and help us determine how we can best support continued growth throughout the year.
As always, we are a team! We encourage you to continue working at home on the skills, activities, and resources your child’s teacher sends home. Even a few minutes of practice each evening can make a difference and helps reinforce the learning taking place at school each day.
Be sure to check out the resources at the bottom of this newsletter for additional ways you can support learning at home.
We are already seeing continued growth in our students, and we could not be prouder of them! Thank you, families, for partnering with us as we Empower. Encourage. Excel.

Items To Remember:
Want to eat lunch with your child? We have a limited number of seats, so you are required to call the office to reserve a specific date and spot, 501.888.4262. We will start this on Sept. 8th.
Please try and send all lunch and snacks with your student in the morning rather than bring to the office for us to deliver.
You MUST have your student car tag in order to pick up your child. (Handbook-pg.68)
You can purchase ONE additional car tag in the office for $1.00.
Parents must stay in their vehicle in the carline. We have staff to assist students. When stopped, students should open their car door and have all items ready to get out in the morning. If you have a child safety lock on your door, please ask for help opening the door.
When staff start to close the morning gate at 8am, we will not re-open it. You must check your student in the front office after 8am. We will start counting tardies on the 2nd week of school-Aug. 17th.
For the morning carline, students should be ready to get out of the vehicle at every orange cone.
For the afternoon carline, we encourage you to work on your child buckling themselves. If they cannot, please pull up to the front parking lot after they get into your vehicle to buckle them. This helps our carline work more efficiently.
If at all possible, please have your student's car seat on the passenger side. It is safer for staff and students if all students enter and exit the vehicle from the passenger side.

Counselors Corner
Each month, students will be learning grounding techniques, simple strategies that calm the mind and body during moments of stress, worry, frustration, and big emotions.
Grounding helps children slow down, focus on the present moment, and feel more in control before solving problems or talking through difficult situations.
During the month of September, students will learn and practice 5-4-3-2-1 “Find Your Calm”.
Students pause and notice:
- 👀 5 things I can see
- ✋ 4 things I can feel
- 👂 3 things I can hear
- 👃 2 things I can smell
- ❤️ 1 thing that makes me feel safe/happy
When children practice these skills regularly, not just when they are upset, they become more confident in managing their emotions.

Diagraph Knowledge
The “th” in thumb is unvoiced (voiceless).
- thumb → /θ/ → unvoiced
- this → /ð/ → voiced
Quick test: Put your fingers on your throat.
- Say thumb — no vibration.
- Say this — you should feel vibration.
Both sounds use the same mouth position—tongue gently between the teeth—but the voiced /ð/ turns the vocal cords on.
