Reading Elementary News

We are looking forward to seeing you back here at school soon! A few reminders:

1. You should have received your homeroom teacher assignment today; please check your spam folder and the email we have listed in final form if you don't see it in your inbox.

2. The office will be closed the Monday morning, August 14 so that the office staff can attend meetings.

3. Open House is Tuesday August 15 5:30-7:00PM

Camp Kern mtg for 6th grade families is 6:30 in Cafeteria

4. If you have a Kindergartener be sure to sign up for a screening time:

You & your child will have a chance to pick up a passport, visit various locations in the building get a special prize from our PTO. PTO will have a photo booth, snack and other fun things!

Please bring supplies that night as well; if you need supplies please let your teacher or our school counselors know.

If you need help updating or completing final forms please come to the main office

All families will receive a transportation number at open house; we ask that you display this number in your dashboard in the carline.

Please do not park along the school driveway/in fire lanes during the school day. If you arrive early for dismissal, we need you to park in a lot.

Medications for the school year can be dropped off during open house or on August 14th-17th from 8am to 2pm in the elementary office. Please refrain from sending medications to school with your child on the first day of school. Over the counter permissions should be completed in final forms under the medications tab unless there is an over the counter medication not listed that a child would need to receive at school. In that case, a paper over the counter form can be picked up in the elementary office anytime from 8am-3pm from now until the first day. Copies can also be emailed to you if you would prefer, please reach out to Nurse Hannah.

Prescription medications will need both the parent side and physician side of the prescription medication form filled out and returned to the school. This form is available in final forms or paper copies will be available in the elementary office at open house or during office hours any time before school begins.
