π POP Tour Presents "ColorΓn Colorado" at Encanto! π
We were excited to welcome POP Tour and the cast of *ColorΓn Colorado* to our school for a special performance for our 3rd and 4th grade students! The story followed Georgie, a shy fourth grader who discovers courage, friendship, and the power of storytelling with the help of her new friend Inez and a magical tale written by her grandfather. Through music, imagination, and heartwarming moments, students enjoyed an inspiring message about overcoming challenges and discovering hidden talents. Be sure to ask your student about the performance and their favorite part of the story!
π Volunteer Appreciation Celebration π
We were proud to celebrate our wonderful volunteers with a special Volunteer Appreciation event! Guests were treated to a coffee bar and delicious pastry treats while enjoying performances by our talented students. Our Safety Patrol students did an outstanding job serving as hosts and servers for the event. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that several of our volunteers are Encanto alumni, now giving back to the same school community that once supported them. The celebration concluded with volunteers receiving certificates in recognition of their time, dedication, and continued support of our school community. We are so grateful for everything our volunteers do to help make our school a better place for all students!

π₯ Feeding San Diego Food Distributions π
Supporting Our Community Through Food Distributions
Last month, we proudly hosted our first food distributions for our school community. To celebrate the first distribution, New Vision Church joined us and generously provided free hotdogs for families. We are excited to continue supporting our community with two more food distributions this month, taking place on the first and third Friday of the month at 2:00 p.m. Food distributions will also continue throughout the summer, with the distribution time temporarily changing to 11:30 a.m. The schedule will return to 2:00 p.m. once the 2026β2027 school year begins. We are grateful to all of our partners and volunteers who help make these events possible!
π Amazing Space Family Science Night π
Our families had an amazing time during Space Science Night hosted by the Fleet! Participants explored exciting hands-on activities focused on stars, galaxies, constellations, the solar system, planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and space travel. Students and families enjoyed learning together while discovering the wonders of space through interactive experiences. Thank you to the Fleet for bringing such an engaging and educational event to our school community!
πͺ Community Resource Fair πͺ
Our school recently hosted a successful Resource Fair, bringing together a wide range of community organizations to support our families. Parents had the opportunity to connect with local agencies, learn about important services, and access helpful resources all in one place. The event was well attended and created a welcoming space for families to ask questions, gather information, and build meaningful connections. As part of the celebration, parents also enjoyed participating in a raffle and winning a variety of exciting prizes. We are grateful to all the community partners who participated and helped make the Resource Fair such a valuable experience for our school community.
