2nd Grade Newsletter
October 20-24
What a wonderful, fun-filled week it has been in 2nd grade!
Our students had an absolute blast at the Windsong Stampede — we loved seeing all the energy, smiles, and those super creative team names the kids came up with for the big run! Thank you for cheering them on and supporting our school!
In math, we’ve been busy exploring 2D shapes and growing our math vocabulary by learning all about the attributes that make each shape unique. Next week, we’ll become Shape Detectives, composing and decomposing shapes to uncover even more geometric discoveries!
Our amazing writers have been hard at work crafting their next personal narratives, adding details and voice to make their stories shine. In reading, we’re diving deep into new books, discovering fascinating characters, and learning to identify both their external and internal traits.
In social studies, our students are becoming mini experts on government officials and their important roles — they’re truly understanding how our government works!
And in science, our young scientists explored the forces of push and pull through hands-on investigations and lively discussions.
It’s been an exciting week of learning, creativity, and curiosity — and we can’t wait to see what next week brings!
