No School 2/2
There will be no school on Monday, February 2 due to a staff Professional Development Day.
Important Dates
1/28, 1/29, and 2/5 - Winter Conferences & Book Fair
2/16/26 - No School - President's Day
2/24/26 - Science & Engineering Night - 5:30-7:00pm
3/23-3/27 - Spring Break
Cold weather clothing
Please make sure your students are dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. We recommend labeling jackets, snow pants, hats, mittens and boots. Each spring, a very large amount of our "lost and found" items are winter gear, and we would love to return them to their owners! Students go outside unless it is raining or windchill is -5 or colder.
CRUNCH at PL
Crunch, the mascot for the Minnesota Timberwolves, stopped by for a visit with the Education Station. Students in kindergarten and first grade shared a story, got an autograph and left with a free book!

Parking Lot at Dismissal
For parents who pick up at the end of the day...
If you would like to stay in your car, please use the pick-up line along the black fence.
If you park in a parking spot, please get out of your car and walk across the crosswalk to the center island to meet your child. We have had students cross over into the parking lot and wander the parking lot looking for their parent, which is a very dangerous situation with all the cars moving in and out. Thank you for your cooperation with this!

First View Bus Tracking
Osseo Area Schools families can check the status of their student’s bus — live — through a transportation app, called FirstView 1.0. The app monitors regular school bus routes in real-time. Best of all, it’s free for parents/caregivers and students to use.
While Osseo Schools buses have a tremendous on-time performance record, there are inclement weather and traffic delays that do occur. This app provides families the necessary information to know when their bus will arrive. Families can also see the anticipated length of any delay, an estimated arrival time and if a substitute is driving the route. Email, push and/or text notifications can inform families of such information instantly.
To download the FirstView 1.0 app, Visit the FirstView 1.0 Tracking Platform to download the app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
For information on how to setup and use FirstView 1.0, please view the FirstView 1.0 Quick Start Guide.

Toys at School
We ask that students please keep toys at home. Items like Pokémon Cards, LaBuBu's, Squishmallows, etc. can be a distraction to learning, especially if anything happens to them. Staff will not investigate if they go missing, are taken, or are damaged.

Bus Expectations
Please review the following expectations with bus riders. We've noticed an increase in unsafe behaviors on the bus.
Calling the attendance line
Please make sure to call the attendance line (763-561-1930 press 1) to report any student absences. Teachers might not read an email or Talking Points message before the attendance calls go out at 10:30am.
Parents/Visitors at School
Safety is our number one priority. ANY person wishing to enter Palmer Lake will be expected to wait in the vestibule and speak with office staff via doorbell camera and microphone. Please have your ID ready for office staff to scan. Forgotten items (lunch boxes, instruments, etc.) can be left on the table in the vestibule for a more efficient drop off. Again, ANY person wishing to enter Palmer Lake will be expected to wait in the vestibule and speak with office staff via doorbell camera and microphone.
If you would like to speak with an administrator or teacher, you are strongly encouraged to call ahead to schedule an appointment.
