Preschool Corner
Florence Twp. School District Preschool Program

November 2026
From the Supervisor
Dear Preschool Families,
As we welcome November, I want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. Our preschool students have been learning, growing, and building friendships, and it has been wonderful to see their progress as they become more comfortable with classroom routines and expectations.
This month, we encourage families to continue supporting learning at home by reading together, practicing independence with daily tasks, and talking about feelings, friendship, and problem-solving. These simple everyday experiences help build the skills children need to be successful in the classroom and beyond.
đź“‹đź’‰Important Health Reminder: Flu Shots Due November 30, 2026đź“‹đź’‰
Please remember that all preschool students are required to have their annual influenza vaccination by November 30, 2026, in accordance with New Jersey preschool immunization requirements. If your child has already received their flu shot, please make sure the school has the updated documentation on file. If your child has not yet received the vaccination, please contact your healthcare provider to schedule an appointment before the deadline. If you have questions about your child's immunization records or requirements, please contact the school.
As we enter the season of gratitude, I am thankful for our wonderful preschool families and the opportunity to work together to support your children's early learning experiences. Thank you for being an important part of our Florence Township Preschool community!
Wishing your family a happy, healthy, and safe November.
Warmly,
Jessica Greco

Preschool Health and Wellness Tips
As the weather gets colder, we encourage families to help children build healthy habits at home and at school. Preschoolers are learning how to care for their bodies and manage their big feelings! Families can support healthy habits by encouraging children to wash their hands, practice covering coughs and sneezes, eat nutritious foods, drink water, and get plenty of sleep. Help your child build independence by practicing tasks such as putting on a coat, using tissues, and cleaning up after meals. To support emotional wellness, read books about feelings, practice taking deep breaths, and encourage children to use words to express their needs. Remember, young children learn best through play, patience, and positive adult support! These small steps help preschoolers feel safe, healthy, and ready to learn!
The New Jersey Department of Education states that students will be going outside for gross motor play if the weather is above 30 degrees. Please dress your child accordingly and label all hats, scarves, gloves, etc. so they do not get lost.
