Read Alouds Microcredential by Kennesaw State University. Introduces participants to the profound role language and literacy play not only in children’s academic achievement, but also in the health and prosperity of entire communities.
Learning objectives include:
· Identifying effective read-aloud strategies for young children
· Understanding how to select and focus on key aspects of a book
· Recognizing the lifelong power of reading and conversation with children

Girls on the Run Practice Calendar
Starting Monday October 6, Girls on the Run will meet from 3:30-5:00 on Monday and Thursday. This change is due to the amount of girls that also participate in Performing Panthers. We want them to be able to do both :). The new days will be:
A partir del lunes 6 de octubre, Girls on the Run se reunirá de 3:30 a 5:00 los lunes y jueves. Este cambio se debe a la cantidad de niñas que también participan en el programa "Panteras de Actuación". Queremos que puedan participar en ambos eventos. Los nuevos días serán:

Performing Panthers / Chorus Schedule
- There will be NO Performing Panthers practice this week due to Conference week.
- Wednesday, Oct. 22 - 3:30-5:30 - Music Room
- Wednesday, Oct. 29 - 3:30-5:30 - Music Room
- Wednesday, Nov. 5- 3:30-5:30 - Music Room
- Wednesday, Nov. 12 - 3:30-5:30 - Music Room

- Wednesday, Dec. 3 - 3:30-5:30 - Music Room
Wednesday, Dec. 4 - 3:30-7:00 - Marietta Tree Lighting Performance - Students stay after school and are bused to the event. Parents will pick up their child/children in Marietta Square.

Keeping illness out of the school is one of the best defenses for all types of sickness. If your son or daughter is ill, please keep them home. This allows your child to recover and prevent others from becoming sick.
If your child stays home for more than 48 hours due to an illness, don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's teacher and or Nurse Nicole. Our school nurse is here for guidance and support.
