Principal's Message
Dear GTMS Families,
February provides an important opportunity to recognize and celebrate Black History Month. This month, we honor the voices, achievements, and leadership of Black individuals whose contributions have shaped our nation and continue to inspire progress, equity, and service. Their legacy reinforces the values we emphasize at GTMS—kindness, respect, empathy, and the importance of standing together as a community.
At GTMS, our motto Respect the Paw guides everything we do. As we welcome and support the Arthur Rann students, staff, and families within our school community, we are committed to modeling and teaching our students the power of unity, compassion, and mutual respect. By respecting ourselves, others, our school, and our community, we continue to demonstrate what it means to come together with purpose and care for one another.
Warm regards,
Paula Junker

GTMS Chorus/Drama
GTMS students had an incredible time singing along to female-empowering music from Wicked—joining 8,000 singers live at the O2 in London and more than 300,000 participants worldwide through the global stream! 🌍🎶 (We even tied in a Social Studies lesson on time zones and Greenwich Mean Time.)
Special thanks to Mr. Conover for organizing this exciting and meaningful experience for our students!
Escape the Vape
The Atlantic Prevention Resources group came to GTMS to educate 7th grade students on the health risks of vaping and the negative impact it could have on their life. Along with knowing the risks of vaping, the presenters taught students healthy coping skills to deal with stress and learn and practice refusal skills.
7th Grade Assembly
Ms.Turkessa Lee came to Galloway Twp. Middle School to present to the 7th graders, " Conflict Resolution." In this presentation Ms. Turkessa Lee focused on talking to students about how conflict resolution helps students learn how to express their feelings and needs in a respectful way. The presentation went on to teach students how to listen to others, understand different perspectives, and take responsibility for their actions. Ms. Lee pointed out how these skills reduce repeated conflicts and help students build stronger relationships with peers and teachers.

By fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect, we can create a school community where all students feel valued and accepted.
