A Message from the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Families,
๐พ Strong Effort on Reading SMC
Last week, we saw great effort from our students on the Reading SMC assessment. Our Panthers approached the test with focus, determination, and a commitment to doing their best. We are proud of the way they showed up and represented their growth.
๐ Assessments Continue This Week
This week, students will take their Math, Science, and U.S. Studies assessments. We expect to see that same level of focus and effort as students continue to demonstrate what they have learned. Please review the updated Testing Schedule below for specific dates and details.
๐ญ DISD and Met Opera Partnership
We are excited to host the DISD and Met Opera Partnership this week as students from L.V. Stockard and nine other Dallas ISD schools will have the opportunity to view a screening of Massenetโs Cinderella. Experiences like this expand our studentsโ exposure to the arts and enrich their educational journey.
โ๐พ Annual Black History Month Showcase
On Friday, we will host our Annual Black History Month Showcase. Students will present song, dance, and spoken word as a tribute to 100 years of celebrating Black History. Parents are invited to attend. Please check in at the Main Office by 1:00 PM to receive a visitor badge.
๐ผ Career Day Volunteers Needed
We are seeking volunteers to present during our Annual Career Day Event on March 13. If you are interested in supporting this exciting opportunity for our students to explore future pathways, please review the flyer below for more details or reach out to Mrs. Green, our School Counselor.
๐ Thank You for Your Partnership
Thank you for continuing to partner with us to support student success.
๐ซ One Team. One Dream. Panther Pride!

OUR ATTENDANCE GOAL IS 95% OR HIGHER....
Strive for NO MORE THAN than 5 absences per school year
We kindly ask families to continue prioritizing daily attendance whenever possible. Due to recent winter weather closures, our campus lost nearly a full week of instruction, making every school day especially important moving forward.
Regular attendance has a direct impact on student learning, progress toward academic goals, and overall success. When students are present and engaged each day, they are better positioned to keep pace with instruction and avoid learning gaps.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to welcoming students back and starting the week strong.
