Mr. Macken's Message
Centerville Families,
What a great week it has been at Centerville! Our STEM Night was a huge success, with so many families joining us for hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and math. The energy in the building was incredible, and it was wonderful to see students exploring, creating, and learning together with their families. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a fun community event!
We also had an unforgettable visit from the Minnesota Wild for their Faceoff for Fitness assembly. Students learned about the importance of staying active and healthy, met some very special guests, and had a blast cheering on the Wild’s mascot, Nordy. It all ended with the kids getting to enjoy seeing me get slimed as part of our schoolwide celebration for meeting our fundraising goal! If you want to check out the video we have included a link below.
Thank you for being such an important part of what makes Centerville a great place to learn, grow, and have fun together.
Go Cougars!
Mr. Macken

Smart Watches
We’ve noticed an increase in students wearing smart watches to school. These devices can become a distraction during the school day, and we also want to ensure that all communication with students goes through the proper school channels. We kindly ask that smart watches be kept at home.
If a student does wear one and it becomes a distraction, we will reach out to inform you. Continued issues may result in your child being asked not to bring the device to school in the future.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Veterans Day Wall of Honor
Centerville Elementary would like to honor our veterans by creating individual full-sheet posters highlighting those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. These posters will be proudly displayed throughout our school as part of our Veterans Day celebration to show gratitude and respect for their service and sacrifice.
If you or a family member has served, we invite you to share a photo and a few details (name, branch of service, years served) by completing the following form. Centerville Elementary will create a personalized poster for each veteran to display leading up to Veterans Day.
