OPTIONAL Lessons while we are out
A note to all helping with children at home right now:
Please know we are not expecting any of you to take on the role of a full-time teacher and do things at home as we do at school. We are providing activities and lessons to keep their skills sharp and to keep all of us connected during this time of “distancing.” There are no expectations and no right or wrong way to do this. Please do what works for you and your family.
Teachers should have sent out information for OPTIONAL activities by now. If you did not get information from your teacher, please let and administrator know and we will get this to you.
Kindergarten has posted a calendar of activities below.
2nd grade is sending info via Class Tag. 3rd grade is communicating using Dojo as well as Google Classroom.
All other grades are using Google Classroom, including ACE classes.
Pre-K students may contact their child’s teacher for activities. Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Hernandez have Google Classrooms set up.
Speech students, please email your child's teacher for individualized lesson information:
njohns@mcssk12.org or kosmith@mcssk12.org
Other class information for PE, Art, Music, Library, and Computer is listed below along with additional fun activities for the students and families.

Hello Parents!
I have put together some musical resources for our students via Youtube. I cannot be responsible for the ads that may pop up prior to these videos. I use Adblock for Youtube in my classroom (a Chrome extension) so ads do not appear. I highly suggest adding this valuable resource to your home computers as well. Below you will find links to several Youtube playlists that I have created for our students. They are for various ages, so choose what works best for your child. I truly hope you will enjoy these musical playlists with your family! Fifth graders that master recorder songs may send me videos (vtruesdail@mcssk12.org) of their playing to earn belts when we return to school. I'd love to see video clips of other grade levels enjoying their music activities too! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
