We are proud to be delivering two very special learning projects within our school. We are taking part in the Anti-Bullying and UK Parliament Week initiatives shortly after the half-term break. Pupils and staff alike will take part in activities and workshops over two separate days which will tackle issues around all types of bulling and of course at its heart is the Christian messages of redemption and forgiveness. Pupils will also be able to improve their knowledge and understanding of British Values as we focus on Parliament and its role in society. We will be looking at why we vote, how democracies work, how we have a voice in school and society and how we can play our role in shaping both our school family, but also our community and the world. Teachers have already spent time discussing ways to enthuse our children through practical tasks and informative discussions. We are hoping that local councillors will be able to visit and share their roles, as well as answering the many questions which we are certain our pupils will have.

Children from Years 5 and 6 have undertaken Bikeability training this week. We are pleased to be able to help them to enjoy the pleasure of cycling whilst remaining safe. Thank-you to all parents and carers for your support.

As half-term quickly approaches and both schools begin to think about pausing and spending more time with families and friends we are already preparing for the second half term's key dates. We will publish Christmas performance dates next week to give you chance to plan your busy lives around performances and worship. We will also be inviting parents and carers to a short service in school to mark Remembrance Day. Details to be sent out in a letter shortly.
