PARENT PORTAL UPDATE
***Very Important for all Parents***
Parents, please update your information in the Parent Portal. District and School level messages are sent out through Remind. If your child’s Parent Portal has not been updated, you will miss out on critical information. This also makes it difficult for teachers and administrators to contact you in case of an emergency. If you have trouble with the parent portal, you can use this link for any issues or contact the school at (478) 779-4612 or (478) 779-4658. We appreciate your prompt attention to this concern. Please complete the parent portal update by September 29, 2023.

FOCUS POINTS FOR READING
Parents, your child's progress in reading is tracked by Star Renaissance's Accelerated Reading data. Our school's goal is to increase your child's reading fluency and reading comprehension. Some of the reading resources accessible at home include Star Renaissance, Canvas (Teacher upload lessons weekly), and Study Sync. Students will be able to read books on their reading level and take accelerated reading quizzes. They must score 80% or higher when taking the quizzes. All students must take at least one AR quiz a week.
Parents ask your children weekly where are they with their AR goals.
FOCUS POINTS FOR MATH
Our school goal is for all students to perform at the proficient level for their grade. This requires students to work in IReady for a minimum of 45 to 60 minutes weekly in my path. This is customized math practice and help on the skills specifically needed for your child to be successful on their grade level standards. Students may also use Khan Academy to support their understanding of math concepts. Mathematics teachers also assign specific lessons for students to be completed as well. All platforms will grade the work and provide students with real-time feedback.
