Panther Pride Starts with YOU! Panther Pride Starts with YOU!

Taking Pride in Our School, Our Community, and Each Other

Every day, hundreds of Panthers walk the same hallways, eat in the same cafeteria, and learn in the same classrooms. But JCMS is more than just a building—it’s a place where friendships are made, memories are created, and students discover their potential.

Our school is something we all share, and taking pride in JCMS is everyone's responsibility. The way we treat our building and shared spaces reflects the respect we have for our school, our classmates, and our community.

Showing Panther Pride goes beyond keeping things clean. It means taking ownership of our surroundings and recognizing that even the smallest actions can make a big difference. When we care for our classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and cafeteria, we're helping create a school environment where everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and proud to belong.

Here are a few simple ways YOU can show Panther Pride every day:

  • 🐾 Leave it better than you found it. Pick up trash, even if it isn't yours.

  • 🐾 Take care of what we have. Treat desks, lockers, walls, and school property with respect.

  • 🐾 Respect shared spaces. Help keep our hallways, restrooms, and cafeteria clean and welcoming.

  • 🐾 Take ownership. If you notice damage, graffiti, or something that needs attention, let an adult know.

  • 🐾 Lead by example. Encourage others to take pride in our school and recognize classmates who are making a positive difference.

A school that is clean, welcoming, and well cared for doesn't happen by accident. It happens when every student makes the choice to do their part.

At JCMS, Panther Pride isn't just something we talk about—it's something we show through our actions. Every student has a role in making our school a place we're proud to call our own.

Together, let's continue building a school community that reflects the very best of who we are. Because when we take pride in our school, we're investing in ourselves, our classmates, and the Panthers who will walk these halls after us.

Every Panther. Every Day.

Stand Up, Step Out Stand Up, Step Out

It's time to STAND UP, STEP UP, and STAND OUT, Panthers!

This week, Jennings County Middle School will celebrate Stand Up, Stand Out Week, a special week dedicated to promoting kindness, encouraging friendships, celebrating individuality, and taking a stand against bullying.

Throughout the week, students and staff will have opportunities to come together and demonstrate what it means to create a positive, welcoming school environment where everyone feels respected, included, and valued.

Our JCMS Leadership Groups are also working behind the scenes to plan a variety of engaging activities for students and staff throughout the week! These activities will encourage teamwork, promote kindness, and remind us that even the smallest actions can make a big difference in someone else's day.

Every Panther Has the Power to Make a Difference!

Standing up against bullying doesn't always require a grand gesture. Sometimes it's as simple as including someone who feels left out, offering a kind word, supporting a classmate, or speaking up when something isn't right.

At JCMS, we believe every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and proud to be a Panther. This week is about more than dressing up—it's about building a school culture where kindness is the expectation, differences are celebrated, and everyone belongs.

Let's make Stand Up, Stand Out Week one to remember! Together, we can make a difference—one Panther at a time.
