Message from Principal Grebb:
As the season of gratitude arrives, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the entire Hendrickson community. Your unwavering support for academic excellence and the many programs we offer is truly inspiring. Our achievements as a school are only possible because of the incredible partnership we have with parents and the broader community. Thank you for empowering your children to be their very best.
Together, we remain committed to growth and continuous improvement, never resting on our past accomplishments. I encourage everyone to take the coming week to recharge and prepare for the final stretch of the semester. Wishing you all a joyful and restful Thanksgiving!

The Anonymous Alerts is an anti-bullying and safety app reporting system that helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome. Students or parents can submit reports such as bullying, cyber bullying, depression, dating violence, drug or alcohol use, threats against the school, weapons on campus, and more.
The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between the submitters (students, parents, or community members) and District administration and/or school staff. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.

Samsung Intership Program
Samsung Austin Semiconductor Fab Internship and Apprenticeship Programs
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for resourceful, detail oriented, young problem solvers that are interested in learning about some terrific opportunities in the field of technology and electronics! Hendrickson will be offering the opportunity to learn more by participating in a field trip on Thursday, 12/5 at 9am. This field trip is open to juniors and seniors. Click HERE to register! You must be passing all your classes and no attendance issues.
Samsung offers an exciting pathway for students looking to enter the tech and semiconductor industries through their Fab Internship and Fab Apprentice programs. These initiatives are designed to provide hands-on experience, professional development, and potential career opportunities for participants.
Fab Internship Program The 10-week paid Fab Internship gives high school graduates (ages 18 and up) the chance to work at Samsung Austin Semiconductor over the summer, gaining real-world experience while completing a dedicated project. Successful interns are eligible to join the subsequent Fab Apprentice program, creating a seamless progression into a deeper learning and working experience with Samsung.
Fab Apprentice Program Building on the skills developed in the internship, the Fab Apprentice program is available to those who have completed the Fab Internship. Apprentices are simultaneously enrolled in an Associate’s Degree program at Austin Community College (ACC), focusing on fields such as Automation and Robotics Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, and Electronics Technician Specializations, among others. Samsung covers 100% of tuition and book costs, provided students maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Apprentices work part-time at Samsung while studying, and upon graduation, they become eligible for full-time technician positions with the company.
These programs are excellent opportunities for students aiming to kickstart a career in semiconductor manufacturing and related fields, with educational support and a clear path to employment in an innovative environment.

A Tesla representative gave a presentation to HHS seniors regarding their Tesla Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) and the START program on Thursday, November 14 in the PAC. They will continue to work with seniors that are interested in applying to the Tesla MDP program. MDP provides high school graduates the opportunity to launch a career at Tesla by participating in a paid 7-week Advanced Manufacturing Program at Austin Community College leading to full-time employment at Tesla. The first cohorts for this program began the Summer of 2024. Twenty-five of HHS Class of ’24 grads are currently participating in this program! These students will complete courses in Material Handling, DC Circuits, Production Quality, Advanced Manufacturing & Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) at Austin Community College.
Tesla START is an intensive training program that provides individuals across the U.S. with the skills necessary for a successful career at Tesla and beyond. During the program, individuals develop technical expertise and earn certifications through in-class theory, hands-on labs and self-paced learning. Students qualified students may transfer to the START program later during their employment.
Please complete the RSVP Google form if you are an HHS senior and would like to receive more information about Tesla events on HHS campus, or if you would like more information about these programs.
Tesla will offer follow up events for preparation leading up to the Tesla interviews for seniors that are interested in the programs offered. All of these events will be offered here at Hendrickson campus. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Cristina Allgood if you have any questions. This is an amazing opportunity that is sure to lead towards invaluable skills, not to mention rewarding employment position complete with skills training and benefits. Senior Portraits
262 seniors still need to set up an appointment for their senior portrait.
To have your senior's portrait included in the yearbook, they must have your picture taken by Cady Photography no later than December 2.
The portrait for the yearbook is outfit of choice--basically, wear something nice. Cady will also do a cap and gown shot at that time.
You can choose the free yearbook only or pay a fee for more poses, backgrounds, and outfits.
Portraits can be taken either at their studio in Cedar Park or on campus on November 21 or 22.
Whether you have the portraits done on campus or in the studio, you have to go onto the website and make an appointment.
The website is Cady.com
If you have any questions or need help making appointment, please come by E211 or email kari.riemer@pfisd.net
I am happy to help any senior set up an appointment. Just have them stop by E211
