Week 11

Welcome to Week 11 of 4th Grade!

Your students have been working so hard!

We have Fun Friday this Friday, so ask your student if they have anything missing to get finished.

Please be talking with your students about assignments that they have when they come home at night. I try to give your child enough time to complete their assignments in class, but if your child does not complete it during class time, they will be taking it home as homework.

Mountain Man Trading Post Donations

We are going to be having a Mountain Man Trading Post on Wednesday, 11/14 during homeroom. We have been learning about the mountain men and fur trappers from early in Utah's history and wanted to do something fun to highlight some of the facts we have been learning.

Your students have been earning "beaver pelts" that they will be able to trade in for different prizes. In order to make this happen, we need donations of fun toys from you all. Items like erasers, small figurines, pop-its, stickers, and other cheap toys/puzzles would be greatly appreciated.

To Do This Week

Please be on the look-out for any work coming home with your student. Like I have said before, I work hard to give the students time to do any assignments during the school day, but sometimes work will be sent home if your child does not get the work done in the time I give them.

We are working on understanding parts of speech and their functions within sentences.

This week we will be continuing our study of Utah's First People and diving in to some early Utah history.

Clever

Easy Access to our Online Programs

Clever is an app/website that allows students to log into multiple programs through the click of a button. By logging in through a computer or scanning their clever badge on a mobile device (QR code sent home with them), you can access programs the same way we use in school at home. If you ever have questions, please reach out and I am happy to help troubleshoot.
