Get ready to be inspired by our upcoming Spring Musical, Annie! This beloved story of optimism and resilience comes to life on our stage as our talented students take on the iconic roles, bringing energy, heart, and joy to every scene. From show-stopping musical numbers to touching moments that remind us the sun will come out tomorrow, this production promises to delight audiences of all ages.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work our cast and crew have poured into this performance, and we can’t wait to share it with our community. Join us for a memorable production of music, storytelling, and student talent. You won’t want to miss it!
K-5 Spring Musical: Wednesday, May 6 - 6:30pm | Musical Attire Request
It’s time to get ready for our K5 Spring Musical! Your student is invited to wear a solid black top (please no logos or prints) with either black, khaki, or jeans. Black dresses and skirts are also welcomed! If your child has been assigned a role, their costume suggestion may be different and has been communicated to them. Thank you so much for your attention to this and we look forward to sharing this exciting story with you!
Please feel free to reach out to nissa.newsome@sjdenver.org with any questions.
Save the Date: A Historic Last Day of School
We are switching things up for our final day of the year! While we usually head to the park for a picnic, this year calls for something a bit more monumental.
Please join us in the school parking lot on May 22 for our 250 Year Tailgate Celebration! We’re trading the park benches for truck beds to honor the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
A Legendary Special Guest
To make our Semiquincentennial celebration truly unforgettable, we are honored to announce that a live Bald Eagle will be joining us. Families will have the rare opportunity to visit with this majestic national symbol and see it up close.
The Game Plan
Pack up the car and bring the whole crew. This is a true community tailgate where families are encouraged to bring:
Grills, picnic gear, and coolers (Note: No alcohol is permitted on campus).
Backyard games like Cornhole to keep the celebration going.
Tables and chairs to set up your ultimate tailgate base.
Chapel Offering Update
Thanks so much for filling the Colorado Family Life Center baby bottles with your generous donations! Our school community donated $803.66. The St. John's Church mission committee is matching our gift dollar for dollar, so our total gift is $1,607.32! The moms, dads, and children served through the Colorado Family Life Center will truly be blessed.
Final Chapel Offering of the year is a travel-sized hygiene items collection. These items will be delivered to a ministry in Juarez, Mexico, by a group of teens and adults from St. John's Church in the summer. Please drop off your items in the bins near the elementary school entrance and community room through May 15.
Dress Code Reminder: New Season
As we enter this new season, we wanted to send a friendly reminder about our school’s dress code requirements.
Over the course of the year, many students have grown, and items that fit well in the fall may now be shorter or no longer meet our guidelines. We ask that you take a few moments to review your child’s wardrobe and ensure that all clothing continues to align with our dress code expectations.
We greatly value your partnership in this area. Our desire is to cultivate an environment of excellence where students are prepared for learning and present themselves in a way that reflects respect for themselves, others, and our school community.
1st Day School Supply: Orders Due July 1st
We’ve partnered with 1st Day School Supply to make back-to-school shopping as easy as possible for your family.
Here’s how it works:
- Our teachers carefully select and customize each grade-level supply list
- 1st Day School Supply packs everything into one convenient box
- Your supplies are delivered right to you—no store runs required!
- Orders due
Once your kit arrives, just hold onto it and bring all supplies to school on Monday, August 10 to drop off in your student’s classroom.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy your summer knowing school supplies are already taken care of. One less thing on your to-do list, and one more reason to soak up the sunshine!
If you have any questions, we’re happy to help. We can’t wait to kick off another great school year together!
