If your child would prefer to bring their own supplies, they are more than welcome to do so.
🎒 What Students Still Need to Bring
Please make sure your child comes to school with:
-
A backpack
-
A refillable water bottle
-
Sports shoes (for PE and recess)
👍 Recommended Items
These aren’t required, but we strongly suggest packing:
A pencil case/supply pouch
-
A spare change of clothes (to keep in their locker)

Indoor shoes (in case outdoor shoes get muddy or wet)
-
Comfortable clothing suitable for PE and active play
Technology
📵 Technology Guidelines – 2026–27
At QSI Benin, we follow an "Away for the Day" policy:
Personal communication devices (including phones and smartwatches) should be kept out of reach and set to "Do Not Disturb" during the school day.
However, students in Classes 12, 13 (middle school), and Secondary (high school) may be invited to use personal devices for specific classroom projects—only when directed by a teacher.
💻 Devices at School – What’s Needed?
For Classes 10 and 11 (5th and 6th grade):
Students do not need to bring laptops or tablets to school regularly.
School technology will be provided as needed.
That said, it’s helpful to have a device at home (laptop or tablet) that can be brought in occasionally for special projects or assignments when requested by a teacher.
For Classes 12, 13, and Secondary (middle and high school):
Students should have a personal laptop for school use.
