Description
- Let's talk about What's New, What's Developing and How to do it in the area of Special Education. We can learn from others and discuss new developments from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. The morning will be a conversation and the sharing of ODEW resources. The afternoon will focus on the Special Education Desk Review and give you time to discuss the process and work on the information you will need to complete for this review, which will take place every 6 years for all educational agencies. It is always nice to hear how others are working on the same task. Even if you are not part of the review this year, it never hurts to start working ahead and get your "ducks in a row" before that time! Now is a great way to learn from others!
Objectives
- Identify state-approved resource(s) to access for the topics that are discussed by the network.
- Create action steps from the network list of topics to complete in their district to fulfill state requirements.
- Create one of the following documents required for the desk audit: onboarding practices or an internal monitoring process for their district use and implementation. FOR THE AFTERNOON SESSION ONLY.
