Letter from Ms. Bedford

Hello Smallville,

Last Friday, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the district African American Heritage Program where some of our amazing students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements. I would love to congratulate the following students on their accomplishments:

Sixth graders: Roselyn Essuman and Bernard Morgan

Seventh Graders: Julien Fadiora and Syla Toney

Eighth Graders: Rae Westen Bagnall and Findley Botchway

Spring Break is right around the corner and I’m sure our Cougars are ready for some time off. I always look forward to the break because my wedding anniversary falls right in the middle of it. Dr. Bedford and I will be celebrating thirteen years on March 12th and this will be the first year we spend our anniversary in Austin. So instead of jumping on a plane, we decided to do a stay-cation and explore the Austin food scene and hopefully check out a few hiking trails. My first stop will be one of my favorites Chez Zee for a huge plate of pasta and slice of cake. So if you have any great recommendations, please let me know!

It’s looking like the weather will be in our favor this weekend, so enjoy the sun and warm weather! See you on Monday, have an amazing weekend!

Stay Present Cougars,

Bedford
