“Foster Growth by Challenging Critical Thinkers to Take Risks,

Honor Differences & Care for Others”

CELEBRATING FALL CELEBRATING FALL

The leaves changing and the crispness of fall signal the start to the new season. We can definitely feel the shift in the weather during morning arrival! The cooler air is a reminder that autumn is here.

With the new season comes new learning and creativity. Our kindergarten students have been hard at work, filling our hallways with vibrant, seasonal artwork. Their creations reflect the beauty of fall and showcase their imaginations. We encourage you to take a moment to admire their hard work when you visit us for fall conferences. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their talents!

EXPERT WRITERS EXPERT WRITERS

We are thrilled to share the progress our students are making in their writing journey! At Gold Rush, we take great pride in our students' analytical and process writing. When students are focused on process writing they are diving deep into various writing genres, including poetry, narrative, informational, and opinion writing.

Currently, kindergarteners are writing I Can books. Their books focus on all the things that they are able to do. Their topics range from riding a bike, being a good friend, taking care of a pet and reading. We are proud of how students are including details and stretching out the sounds in words.

Our third graders are engaged in informational writing, focusing on topics they are passionate about. From sports to pet care, students are honing their ability to organize information into well-structured paragraphs while adding rich details to enhance their writing.

Our fourth graders have taken on the role of animal experts! After conducting research on animals of their choice, they are now crafting informative pieces about their chosen animals, exploring their habits, diets, and safety. It’s wonderful to see their curiosity come alive in their writing.

Across all grade levels, students are utilizing checklists to reflect on their work, which helps them become more thoughtful and intentional writers. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the final pieces they are creating.

EXTRA CURRICULARS ARE IN FULL SWING EXTRA CURRICULARS ARE IN FULL SWING

Gold Rush is excited to provide our students with a diverse range of extracurricular clubs that cater to a variety of interests! From physical activities to academic pursuits and creative endeavors, there’s something for everyone.

Why Join a Club?
Participating in clubs is a fantastic way for students to meet new friends and explore new activities. We believe that joining a club fosters a growth mindset, encouraging students to try new things and step out of their comfort zones.

Current Clubs in Action
Our students are already engaged in several exciting clubs this fall, including:

  • Running Club
  • Choir and Instrument Clubs
  • Coding Club
  • Art Club
  • Glee Club
