Student Corner:
Students - We Want To Hear From YOU!
As we head into the new year, we're working on a little something special for our educators. Help us show our appreciation by answering one of these three questions:
1. Name an educator who has had a positive impact on your education, and tell us why.
2. Tell us about a time a person, class, or experience in school has made a difference in your life, or has had a profound impact on your future.
3. What do you love most about school?

Making Headlines!
Extra Extra! EIght of our students ranging from 9th through 12th grade auditioned for Senior Districts on Saturday. The audition required them to prepare a college-level solo, memorize 12 scales, and sight read a piece of music they have never seen or heard before with only 1 minute to prepare. They perform these items one-on-one for a judge. It is quite intense and can be intimidating! We are so incredibly proud of all of our students who took the opportunity to learn and grow through this process. Over 600 students auditioned from Southeastern Mass. auditioned, and approximately 200 were accepted, including Grace Kearsing, a flutist in 11th grade at Weymouth High School!

Linda Hof
Curriculum Coordinator
With 21 years in education, I am excited to be returning to New England and especially to WHS. I have a background in teaching Social Studies, to include World History, US History, Global Perspectives, Human Geography, Government, and Economics. In 2017 I entered administration as a District Mentor and Test Coordinator, and in 2019 I received a degree in Ed Leadership along with AP/Principal certification. I am thrilled to be heading up the Social Studies team at WHS and I look forward to growing with my team as we embrace the 3 E's.
What I love most about being an educator is the relationships that are developed with students. Every time I get letters from students telling me about how I've impacted their lives, I'm reminded why I entered this profession, and how important it is to make a difference in our students' lives, empowering them to embrace their futures.
I am a huge sports fan, and when it comes to the Bruins, I am over the top!
When it comes to favorites, I am big on travel. I have been throughout Europe, to China, and I go to Hawaii as frequently as possible. My two favorite cities are Boston and London, as I am enthralled with the history of each.
Linda Magee
Department Head, Special Education
I have been working in Weymouth at WHS since 2019.
I grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth South High School . I knew when I was in first grade at Ralph Talbot School that I wanted to go into the Special Education field. It was here that my teacher, Miss. Joseph pointed out to me that I had a" special gift" of helping the other students and encouraged me to become a special educator!
I have 4 children, 2 cats, and a new puppy and live in Norwell. I love to travel especially to the Caribbean my favorite island is St. John and my favorite restaurants in St. John are Skinny Legs and Miss Lucy's.
My favorite movie is Top Gun - all my pets named after original Top Gun characters- my cats are named Maverick and Goose and my dog is Charlie!
