A QUICK NOTE ABOUT PROOF OF RESIDENCY
Over the next few weeks, the HCS office will begin reaching out to some families to request updated proof of residency documentation. We periodically need to update this information to make sure our student records are current and that we have the correct address on file for each family.
If we need updated documentation from your family, youโll receive an email from us with information about what we need and how to send it in. This may include something simple like a current utility bill, lease agreement, property tax document, or another document showing your Hinesburg address.
Thereโs nothing you need to do right now unless you hear from us directly. And, as always, if you receive a request and have questions about what to provide, just reach out to the HCS office - weโre happy to help. Thanks so much for helping us keep our records accurate and up to date!

HELP US KEEP THE HCS BOLTON SKI/RIDE PROGRAM RUNNING
Dear HCS Bolton Ski/Ride Families,
We are looking for a parent or community volunteer to take on the administrative coordination of the HCS Bolton Ski/Ride Program.
The coordinator helps keep the program organized and running smoothly. Responsibilities include:
- Managing registration information and required forms
- Communicating important program details, deadlines, and updates to families
- Maintaining participant information and lists
- Coordinating with HCS and Bolton Valley
- Helping organize the logistical details needed throughout the program
Josh will continue to volunteer and work alongside the new coordinator, so whoever steps into this role will have an experienced partner who knows the program well. We are very grateful to Josh for his continued commitment and for helping make this opportunity possible for HCS students.
If you are interested in taking on this role, or would simply like to learn more about what it involves, please contact Josh Terreberry as soon as possible.
Because the HCS Bolton Ski/Ride Program is entirely volunteer-run, we need someone to fill this administrative role in order for the program to continue. We hope someone in our HCS community will consider stepping forward to help keep this wonderful opportunity available to our students.
Thank you for considering supporting the HCS Bolton Ski/Ride Program!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY IN K-4 CLASSROOMS WITH THE HCS FOUR WINDS PROGRAM
Want to learn more about nature? Eager to share the joy of discovery with your children and their classmates? Become a Four Winds classroom volunteer at Hinesburg Community School!
Adult volunteers (HCS parents, grandparents, or community members) generally meet the second Friday morning of each month, for a workshop taught by a naturalist from the Four Winds Nature Institute staff. At each of these seven workshop, we learn about a fascinating natural science topic with activities designed to teach children in grades K-4. Then, later in the month, two volunteer partners bring these lessons to the classes and take the children outdoors, leading them through the activities.
Our first volunteer training workshop is Friday, September 18th at HCS. The workshops are held September-May, with no workshops held in December or February.
For more information or to volunteer, please contact Sara Lovitz, Volunteer Program Coordinator at hcsfourwinds@gmail.com
You can also find our more about the Four Winds Nature Program here - https://fwni.org/the-nature-program/. This year's theme will be Cycles in Nature.
