The Hatter Chatter

A Message from Dr. Eveslage, Superintendent
Greetings, Hatboro-Horsham Students, Staff, and Families,
October is here, bringing cooler days, vibrant autumn colors, and an exciting stretch of the school year. By this point, our students and staff are well into their routines, classrooms are filled with energy, and meaningful learning is happening across all grade levels. Autumn is a season of growth and reflection, and in our schools, it offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the progress we have made since the first day of school.
This month is full of exciting opportunities for our students. Our Homecoming and middle school dances will bring students together to celebrate school spirit and camaraderie. Fall athletics are in full swing, and our teams continue to display determination and pride. We are also hosting engaging STEM nights that allow students to explore new challenges, along with opportunities to learn more about Artificial Intelligence and how it is shaping the future of education. These events highlight the many ways our students are growing both inside and outside of the classroom.
As we enjoy the beauty of the fall season, I look forward to seeing the many achievements of our students and the special moments that make this time of year so meaningful in Hatboro-Horsham.
Enjoy this October edition of The Hatter Chatter!

Keith Valley Middle School Opens Its Doors 🏫
The doors of the new Keith Valley Middle School officially opened, and the excitement has been incredible. From the very first day, students have been buzzing with energy and enthusiasm as they explore a school designed with their learning, growth, and community in mind.
One of the standout features of the new building is its flexible learning spaces, which allow students to collaborate, problem-solve, and learn in ways that go beyond traditional classrooms. Teachers are already seeing the benefits as students adapt to these modern environments, taking ownership of their learning while also working together in innovative ways.
The opening of the new Keith Valley has also been a celebration for families and the community. Families were invited to tour the building, getting a firsthand look at the spaces where their children will learn and thrive. In addition, community tours welcomed neighbors, alumni, and friends to experience the incredible transformation and see how the school reflects both tradition and forward-thinking design.
The new Keith Valley Middle School is more than just a building. It is a vibrant hub for students, staff, families, and the entire Hatboro-Horsham community. The first few weeks have made it clear: this school is already making a positive difference and setting the stage for years of success.

Senior Sunrise: A Bright Start to Senior Year 😎
On the first Friday of the school year, the Class of 2026 came together for a special tradition, Senior Sunrise. This event commemorated their last First Friday of high school, marking the beginning of an exciting and memorable final year at Hatboro-Horsham High School.
Gathering on the football field in the early morning light, seniors shared breakfast, laughed with friends, and reflected on the journey that has brought them to this milestone. It was a chance to pause, connect, and celebrate the start of their senior year as a class.
Senior Sunrise was not only a moment of fun and friendship, but also a meaningful way to launch their final year together. As the sun rose, so did the excitement and anticipation for all that lies ahead. The Class of 2026 has a year filled with milestones and memories ahead, and this special morning was the perfect way to begin the journey.

Safe2Say Something
Just a reminder to our families: The Hatboro-Horsham School District currently utilizes the Pennsylvania Safe2Say Something Tip Line to help keep our schools safe. The S2SS Tip Line system was created in coordination with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General and went into effect on January 14, 2019. It was implemented in all of Pennsylvania's 500 school districts. The tip line allows for anonymous reporting of potential threats to schools and students.
To report a tip through the Safe2Say Something (S2SS) tip line in Pennsylvania, you can call 1-844-SAF2SAY, visit the S2SS website at safe2saypa.org, or use the free Safe2Say Something mobile app to submit your concern anonymously and confidentially.
