Baking & Pastry Baking & Pastry

Last week students in Baking & Pastry I learned about various types of leavening agents. They then applied their understanding by making a yeast dough (biological leavener) for monkey bread. It was a three-day process, allowing the dough to cold-ferment over two days. Students baked their monkey bread on Friday, and the result was delicious!

Accessible Parking Reminder Accessible Parking Reminder

As we welcome students, families, and community members to Jayhawk-Linn throughout the school day and for evening activities, please help us keep our designated handicapped parking spaces available for those who need them.

These spaces provide important access for individuals with mobility needs, including students who may need accessible drop-off and pick-up locations. Please only use designated handicapped parking spaces when your vehicle has the appropriate permit or placard.

Thank you for helping us ensure Jayhawk-Linn remains welcoming and accessible to everyone. We appreciate your cooperation and continued Jayhawk PRIDE!

New Personal Electronic Device Policy New Personal Electronic Device Policy

As we begin the school year, we also want to remind families about a new Kansas law regarding student personal electronic devices. Cell phones, smart watches used for communication, and wireless earbuds/headphones may not be accessible to students during the school day. At Jayhawk-Linn, students will turn off their cell phones and place them in their assigned academic lockers at the beginning of the school day, where they will remain until the end of the day. We appreciate your partnership in helping us create an environment where students can focus on learning and build meaningful connections with their teachers and classmates.

Student Handbook

The Student Handbook is designed to provide students and parents with essential information about our school's policies, procedures, and expectations.

This year, the Course Guide and Athletics Handbook have been combined into a single document for your convenience. You will also notice the addition of a table of contents with hyperlinks, making it easy to navigate directly to the information you need.

We encourage all students and parents to review these resources together before the start of the school year.
