Spring Break!
March 20 through March 29. We look forward to welcoming your child back on March 30.
Family Project
Teachers shared our next family project with you! We are looking forward to welcoming spring and decorating RELC with your beautiful flowers!
Parent Feedback
As a district, we are working to gather parent information and feedback from all schools in one central location. This is a way for us to track parent engagement and parent feedback while identifying any gaps in support, strengthening areas that may need improvement, and highlighting the positive experiences we are seeing across our schools.
Our goal is simply to consistently capture meaningful interactions and feedback from families.
New and expecting mothers & families, mark your calendars!
Kindergarten Registration
The 2026-2027 Online Enrollment window is OPEN! Please register as soon as possible so that we can best prepare our staff, building, and learning environments to support your child! Thanks to those of you who came to our kick-off event in January! We appreciate your continued support of FPS.
Preschool Registration
Families looking to enroll their preschool aged child for classes next year can request an enrollment packet. We offer half-day classes for 3 and 4 year olds and all day 4 year old programming- including our Spanish-immersion program for native Spanish speakers! Students must be 3 or 4 years of age before September 1, 2026 to be eligible for classes. For more information on tuition, class availability, curriculum, and more- reach out to Olivia Sage.
Students entering preschool or kindergarten must have a preschool screening on file before the start of the school year. Our available screening appointments can be found online.
PBIS + Pyramid Model
SOAR Expectations
As you know, teachers review expectations regularly! You can help us at home and continue to enforce our SOAR expectations. When children hear the same words and expectations in both places, it creates consistency and helps them understand exactly what positive behavior looks like. Even simple reminders like, “Are you being accountable right now?” or “Show me respectful listening,” can make a big difference!
The Pyramid Model and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are frameworks used in early childhood education to promote children's social-emotional development and prevent challenging behaviors. PBIS provides a general framework for schools and programs, while the Pyramid Model adapts PBIS to be developmentally appropriate for preschoolers. Parents are considered vital partners in this framework, with the goal of creating consistent, nurturing environments at home and school through clear communication, family engagement, and the consistent use of positive practices to support each child's social-emotional well-being.
Each week, we celebrate students who show what it means to follow our PBIS expectations—being safe, on task, accountable and respectful. This recognition highlights the great choices our students make every day at Roosevelt Early Learning Center! Here are our previous winners from the last three weeks.
At Roosevelt—and across our district—students start each day by reciting the Falcon Pledge. This pledge is another part of our PBIS framework. Saying the pledge daily helps our students begin the day with a positive mindset and a focus on making good choices, both in and out of the classroom.
The Falcon Pledge is a unifying tradition that connects all of our schools and builds a strong, caring community of learners.
