The Glover GazetteWelcome to the 2026-2027 School Year

Launching the 2026-2027 School Year Launching the 2026-2027 School Year

And so it begins . . .

Monday is the start of our 2026-2027 school year for K-3 students and Tuesday for Pre-K students. We are ready to welcome them back to the building. Our staff has worked hard to make sure the rooms and grounds are welcoming and ready.

The night before school begins can raise some emotions for even our youngest learners. Having a regular bedtime and morning routine can help to calm some of the first day jitters. Our staff will be at the ready for any support that families need.

Looking forward to seeing you all next week!

Mary

Morning and Afternoon Drop-off and Pick-up

While we are all excited for returning to school, student and staff safety is of the utmost importance. There is no supervision outside in the early morning and we ask that you do not drop your student off before 7:45 if they are going to breakfast and 8:05 if they are entering the building. Many of our students walk and ride scooters/ bikes. Please drive safely and be aware of your surroundings. When driving and dropping, please keep the drop off moving in the same direction and make sure all students exit from the right side of the vehicle. For everyone's safety, do not leave your car unattended, and have your child prepared to exit.

Grades Pre-K will enter through their classroom doors each morning.

Grades K-3 teachers will be outside on the first week of school to welcome students. Please find your teacher and line up with them to enter the building. Grade levels will be lining up on their colored line for entry. Students will have a chance to practice this in the first weeks of school.

Pre-K will exit from their classroom door and all other students will exit from the front doors under the portico.

8:10-SCHOOL OFFICIALLY BEGINS

*Students arriving in the building after 8:10 AM are considered tardy.

New routines take time, and I'm sure we'll have some wrinkles to iron out, but I'm also sure we will be running smoothly in no time at all! Thank you for your patience and your help as we all work together to get kids safely to school each day.

Breakfast Time

Our students are welcome to join us for breakfast at 7:45. This is free and available to everyone. There is no supervision outside in the early morning and we ask that you do not drop your student off before 7:45.

Safety Drills

The safety of our students is our priority. Therefore, as state law requires us to have a fire drill within the first four days of school, we will have our first fire drill on September 2nd. It is just a drill. The fire department will be on hand to assist.
