Week 6 Message
Good afternoon!

Have an amazing weekend--Go Celts!
Mike
From Officer Patrick...
Attention Jerome Student Drivers,As we enter the fifth week of school, I want to address a serious issue. I have already received five reports of vehicles being struck and damaged in the parking lot, with the responsible party leaving the scene without providing any contact or insurance information.
I understand that being involved in a car accident can be stressful and overwhelming. However, leaving the scene without taking responsibility turns a civil issue into a criminal one—specifically, a first-degree misdemeanor for Hit/Skip.
In all honesty, if I can identify who is responsible for any of these incidents, you will receive a traffic citation and be required to appear in juvenile court. Consequences may include:
A lengthy driver’s license suspension
Up to 6 points on your driving record
A significant fine
And you will still be financially responsible for the damage caused.
To Parents:
If you're reading this, please take a moment to talk with your student driver. Remind them that honesty, responsibility, and safe driving habits are essential—not just for their own safety, but for the well-being of everyone in our community.
Thank you,
Officer Patrick
