JUNE 2026

Happy June and happy summer!
DCA Families,
As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, we are reflecting on the many wonderful memories, achievements, and milestones our students have accomplished. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. Whether your student is moving on to their next chapter or returning to continue their journey with us at DCA, we are grateful to be a part of their educational experience.
This will be our final newsletter of the 2025–2026 school year, but we will be back before you know it! Be on the lookout for our Back-to-School Newsletter in mid-August.
Throughout the summer, our Engagement Mentors will be reaching out to help ensure your student is prepared for the new school year and to update contact information, if needed.
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
We wish you and your family a relaxing, safe, and rejuvenating summer.
We look forward to seeing you in September!

Now Recruiting for the Construction Academy Pilot
Do you enjoy building, creating, solving problems, or working with your hands? The DCA Construction Academy is a new opportunity for students interested in exploring careers in construction and the skilled trades while working toward the nationally recognized MC3 (Multi-Craft Core Curriculum) Certification.
Students in the Construction Academy will participate in hands-on learning experiences, connect with industry professionals, explore career pathways, and gain real-world exposure to the construction industry.
Students entering grades 10–12 who are interested in learning more are encouraged to complete the interest form below. Completing the form does not commit you to participating. It simply helps us identify students who would like additional information.

Learning Coach Corner
Who is a Learning Coach?
A Learning Coach is a parent, relative, sibling, or legal guardian who supports a K12 student’s education journey at home. By stepping into this role, you can set your student up for success in our K12 environment and beyond.
What is the Learning Coach's role/responsibility?
The Learning Coach supports the student at home. The LC is responsible for making sure the student is attending their live classes, completing their online course lessons, and completing their online assignments. The LC communicates regularly with their student's teachers via email, phone calls, and text messages. The amount of assistance depends on the student's grade level and their ability to successfully complete work on their own.
Staying Connected
Friends Near Me
Friends Near Me, the new map feature, is now live in the Learning Coach Community. Connect with nearby families who are also learning from home. Build friendships, share tips, and get the support you need.

No interested? No problem!
You can opt out of being featured on Friends Near Me anytime by logging into your Learning Coach Community account and toggling the feature off.
