New Summer EBT Program Information for Eligible CVUSD Families New Summer EBT Program Information for Eligible CVUSD Families

Beginning this summer, California will offer Summer EBT, the new grocery EBT program for families with eligible school-age children. The Summer EBT program is a new tool to fight against child hunger from the California Department of Social Services, in partnership with the California Department of Education.

If you think your children are eligible, you can receive Summer EBT by filling out the District’s online Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form or families may submit a hard copy version of this Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form. If you have previously filled out the Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form for the 2023-2024 school year - no further action is needed.

Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to update/review their home address in the CVUSD Q system, as the address in the District’s system is where the state of California will mail Summer EBT cards to. The CVUSD does not have a role in the physical distribution of the Summer EBT cards.
