Lassiter Ledger
Week of September 1st
A message from Principal Ibarra
Dear Lassiter Families,
The first week of college is officially in the books! Please take a moment to celebrate this accomplishment with your student as they have successfully navigated their first full week of college classes. This is a crucial time for them to establish good habits, from attending lectures to managing their coursework. We want to ensure they're on the right track for a successful semester.
As your student's academic journey continues, your partnership remains vital. We encourage you to maintain the momentum of our "Sunday Funday" routine. This week will be especially important as students have received their syllabi for their college courses. On Sundays, please collaborate with your student to review their academic progress, including grades and attendance. This is also an ideal time to check their planner, ensuring they are planning ahead and managing their workload effectively. By consistently engaging in this practice, you'll empower them to stay on track and aim for grades of B or higher. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students achieve their goals this semester.
A huge thank you to all the families who came out for Meet the Teacher Night and our first grade-level meeting! We were so excited to meet with you and get this new school year started.
Your presence at these events is incredibly important, especially with new staff members joining our team. It helps us build a strong partnership right from the start, which is essential for ensuring your student's success. We believe that a collaborative relationship between our school and your family is key to creating the best possible experience for every student.
We received feedback from the parent meeting and grade-level meetings regarding times, location, and virtual options. Your voice is important in this process, and the administration is taking that feedback to plan for future events. We want to hear from you! If you have any additional feedback on how we can make Lassiter a better place for everyone, please share your thoughts using the Google Form below. Your input is incredibly valuable to us.
For more important information, dates, and everything else you need to know, please be sure to read over our Smore newsletter. As always, do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
In partnership,
Principal Ibarra
