๐ Breakfast/Lunch & SchoolBucks
Families are encouraged to check their childโs MySchoolBucks account regularly to ensure funds are available. Please also monitor purchases being made through Aramark for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Reviewing accounts frequently helps students make healthy choices and ensures a smooth checkout process.
๐ข Student ID#s - Please ensure that your child has MEMORIZED their student ID number. This number is used to get breakfast/lunch AND to log into student Chromebooks. Student IDs should NOT be shared with anyone! ID numbers can be found in the Genesis Parent Portal!
๐ Locker Practice โWe know lockers can be a challenge in the beginning, but with continued practice and support, students are building confidence. Our goal: 100% locker independence by October!
๐ป Chromebooks โA friendly reminder to students to bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged each day, along with their chargers. This is an important part of being prepared for learning, and we appreciate your cooperation in making sure students are ready to go each morning.
๐ข Stay Connected
- Genesis Parent Portal: Families can now report absences or request early pickups (before 12:00 PM) directly through Genesis. Notes and requests can also be tracked in the system.
- Communications: ParentSquare is now our main tool for school and district messages. You will also receive updates/newsletters via Finalsite. Donโt forget to follow us on Facebook!
Attendance Matters: Every Day Counts! ๐
Regular attendance is essential for your child's success in school. Being present every day helps students keep up with their learning, build strong relationships with their peers and teachers, and develop good habits that last a lifetime.
If your child is going to be absent, please make sure to notify the school as soon as possible. Letโs work together to ensure our students are here, on time, and ready to learn each day. Remember, every day counts!
The Attendance Works resource below was sent home with students in their Yellow Friday Folders. Please take a moment to review
๐ป Genesis New Update/Reminder
Genesis Parent Portal๐ป
As we prepare for the first day of school, we need every family to log in to the Genesis Parent Portal and make sure all information is current and up to date. This includes emergency contacts, medical details, and arrival/dismissal information.
Genesis is your all-in-one portal for your childโs information, so keeping it updated AND checking it regularly helps us ensure a smooth and safe start to the school year. If you have not already done so, please take a few moments to complete this before the school day begins on Tuesday.
๐ฑParent Square Messaging System๐ฌ
Parents & Guardians -
Weโre excited to share that our schools will now be using ParentSquare for all district and school communications, replacing Remind. ParentSquare allows you to receive messages via email, text, or app, view calendars, RSVP to events, and access student documents securely.
You should have received an invitation to activate your account, it's quick and easy. We encourage all families to join and stay connected with our school community!
Directions for how to connect with this communication system can be found below!
