Hawk Happenings
January 2026
Dear Spring Lake Families,
Our Character Trait for January is: Perseverance
The ability to keep trying, even when it is difficult. Never give up!
Happy New Year! We hope you all had a restful and joyous holiday break. As we step into 2026, we have some exciting events and important reminders to share with you.
1. Spring School Choir starts TODAY (Thursday, January 8th).
- Spring Lake Elementary has an amazing after school choir. Being in choir is an awesome experience where students have fun and work hard to accomplish something incredible as a group. The choir is for ALL students in K-5. The students meet in the gym on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 PM. If you would like to join the choir, please pick up a form at the front office.
2. SEP Conferences TONIGHT (Thursday, January 8th) - We hope to see you tonight!
3. Colder Weather: As temperatures drop, please ensure your child is dressed warmly with appropriate winter clothing. Here is the link to our cold and inclement weather policy.
3. Spirit Day at Chubby's: Mark your calendars for Monday, January 26th. This is a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to come and support our school. Chubby's will donate a portion of all sales to Spring Lake Elementary.
4. No School: Please note that there will be no school on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
We are looking forward to a fantastic start to 2026 and are excited about all the opportunities this new year will bring for our students and community. Thank you for your continued support and involvement.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Coral Lee Findlay
