Attendance Matters Attendance Matters

zoom_out_map

As we look forward to the upcoming spring semester, we want to emphasize the critical importance of consistent attendance as we enter this key period of the school year. The second semester is pivotal for reinforcing the skills and concepts that students have developed, as well as for preparing them for important assessments. With STAAR testing, TELPAS language proficiency testing, and end-of-course exams just around the corner, every day of instruction counts. Regular attendance ensures that students are fully prepared for these assessments and have the opportunity to participate in valuable review and practice sessions that will directly impact their performance.

We understand that life can be busy, but we urge you to prioritize your child’s attendance during this crucial time. Missing class can lead to gaps in knowledge and leave students feeling unprepared for these high-stakes exams. Your continued support in ensuring your child is present and engaged will make a significant difference in their success this semester. Together, we can ensure that every student is set up for their best possible performance in the spring, both on exams and in their overall academic growth. Thank you for your partnership in supporting your child's education!

Mentor Spotlight

Mr. Jim Williams is an awesome mentor to one of Bluebonnet's 4th graders. This pair has been together since the 23-24 school year, and they are a perfect match.

A routine has been established every Wednesday morning, a visit of catching up on each other's news and a friendly competitive game of chess. They both look forward to seeing each other and Mr. Williams can often be heard speaking highly of his mentee.

We appreciate the kindness and reliability of this wonderful man and all that he means to our special 4th grade student. Thank you Mr. Williams!
