Principal's Message
Dear LPES Families,
What a fun week at Lewis Palmer Elementary! Our fall parties were a huge success, and the kids had a wildly fun time thanks to our incredible volunteers. A big shout-out to our amazing PTO for putting on a terrific Trunk or Treat. We are so grateful for the time and energy our community puts into making these experiences special for our kids.
Yesterday, we wrapped up Red Ribbon Week with an exciting visit from the DEA helicopter, the Coast Guard, and the Monument Fire Department! Our students had a wonderful time while learning about the importance of making healthy choices and staying drug-free. What a memorable way to end the week!
It is hard to believe how quickly the year is flying by! Trimester 1 report cards will be released next week, and we will officially begin Trimester 2. We are proud of the growth our Eagles have made and look forward to all that is ahead as we continue SOARing.
Here are a few important dates and reminders:
November 6: Deadline to submit a photo of your veteran for our Veterans Day celebration. Please share your photo here: Veterans Day Photo Submission Form.
November 9, 5:30–7:00 p.m.: Join us for Literacy Night! We look forward to welcoming families for an evening of literacy fun and an introduction to our Book Fair.
November 11: Veterans Day Assembly. We look forward to honoring the veterans who have served our country and celebrating the members of our own LPES community.
Next week, we will launch into Trimester 2 by refocusing on our SOARing behaviors: Staying Safe, On-Task, Maintaining an Attitude to Achieve, and being Respectful and Responsible. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to build a school community where every Eagle can learn, grow, and thrive.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Mrs. Kessler
Principal, Lewis-Palmer Elementary
