Life Christian Academy Opens Its Doors for the 2026–2027 School Year
Life School Education Foundation is proud to announce the opening of Life Christian Academy (LCA), its inaugural PreK-4 program for the 2026–2027 school year, with campuses located in Cedar Hill and Lancaster. Designed for families who refuse to choose between exceptional academics and deeply rooted Christian values, LCA offers a Christ-centered learning environment where every child is known, challenged, and prepared for a lifetime of purpose.
Enrollment is now open for children who will be 4 years old by the start of the 2026–2027 school year. Seats are limited.

April is Financial Literacy Month
Financial literacy is a vital LifeLeader attribute. It’s about more than just dollars and cents; it's about the habits that shape our lives.
Teaching children how money works, including earning, saving, spending, and giving, builds essential values like patience, contentment, and thoughtful decision-making. A financially literate child learns to:
Distinguish between needs and wants.
Value waiting over instant gratification.
Understand that wise choices today create freedom tomorrow.
You can grow these skills by talking openly about spending, involving your child in simple budgeting, and modeling gratitude for what you already have.
When children see money as a tool rather than the goal, they develop the discipline to lead well. Wise money habits shape wise life habits—one small decision at a time.
Parent Square - Optimize Notifications So You Don’t Miss Messages
Did you know that you can change your notification settings for each campus?
Maybe you want App, Email, and Text Message. Maybe you just want to be notified through the App. Parents can change these settings in their Account in ParentSquare.
(And don’t worry! Even if you change your normal notification settings, you will still receive emergency messages in all methods.) Read this post for more information.
Life Habits: Prepping Mentally and Physically for Testing Day
April and May include several important testing days, including STAAR, Advanced Placement (AP), End of Course (EOC), and final exams. To help your student feel confident and prepared, here are a few simple habits that can make a big difference on test day.
Rest and Eat Well
Self-aware students know that our bodies need both rest and nutrition to function well. Going to bed at a reasonable hour and fueling the brain are great ways to ensure your student is well-rested and ready to focus.Prepare the Night Before
Encourage students to be self-managed and prepare the night prior to an exam. A smooth morning routine helps reduce stress and allows students to arrive at school on time and ready to go.Keep It in Perspective
Maintaining a global perspective helps students remember that exams are just one snapshot of their learning journey. A calm, confident mindset can go a long way on testing day.
Science-Minded Students
At Life School, we believe in developing “student scientists, not science students.” Each day, students engage with real-world phenomena and hands-on investigations to make sense of the world around them. Rather than memorizing facts, students ask questions, build models, conduct labs, analyze data, and explain their thinking using evidence.
How Parents Can Support at Home:
Asking your child to explain what they are learning in their own words.
Encouraging them to describe the “why” behind concepts, not just definitions.
Reviewing their science journals and asking about their models or lab investigations.
Helping them practice using evidence to support their answers.
Encouraging curiosity by asking questions about everyday phenomena.
Our goal is to build curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom.
College Readiness for Juniors
As Life School prepares to honor seniors crossing the graduation stage, now is a good time for juniors to begin their college prep journey. With many college applications opening on August 1st, this summer is an excellent opportunity to get a jump-start. Use this time to boost your SAT/ACT scores, craft a standout college essay, and tour the colleges that seem like the right fit.
