Dear Hays Middle School Families,
We are so excited to welcome you back for the 2025-2026 school year! I am proud of the work our students and staff accomplished last year at Hays, and I know we'll continue to build upon it in the coming year. Both in and out of the classroom, we will continue to focus on growth for all, balancing the academic and social-emotional needs of our students. We believe that all of our students are REAL Hawks, and we'll continue to build their capacity to be Respectful, Empathetic, Accountable Leaders here at Hays.

- August 7: Schedule Walks
- 6th grade: 3:30-4:45
- 7th & 8th grades: 5:45-7:00
- Athletics meeting: 6:30
- August 12: First Day of School!
- Volleyball open gym, 3:40-4:30 (must have physical and Rank One forms complete)
- August 14, 15, 18, 19: Volleyball tryouts (must be present all days)
- August 15: Deadline to sign up to audition for the fall musical, "The Addams Family" (all details HERE)
- August 19: General PTO Meeting at 8:30 - OPEN to ALL!

The Hays Middle School leadership team will work to ensure a culture of collaboration that allows for shared leadership and intentional learning opportunities to support the growth of all staff members.

We will strengthen vertical alignment and community engagement by increasing meaningful connections with all schools in the Rock Hill feeder pattern (elementary, middle, and high school) through consistent communications, collaborative initiatives, and shared student experiences.
