Emociones/ Todo Sobre Mi!
This month, our toddlers will be exploring emotions—what they are, how they feel, and how to manage them in healthy ways. Through stories, songs, and play, children will learn to recognize different emotions in themselves and others. We’ll also be focusing on self-awareness, helping children build confidence and begin to understand who they are.
Activities Parents Can Try at Home
To keep the learning going beyond the classroom, here are a few simple activities you can do at home:

Feelings Faces – Draw or print pictures of faces showing different emotions (happy, sad, mad, surprised). Ask your child to name them and make the same face in the mirror.

Emotion Check-In – Each morning or bedtime, ask your child: “How are you feeling right now?” and let them point to or say a feeling word.

Feelings Through Music – Play different types of music (fast, slow, soft, loud) and dance together. Afterwards, talk about how the music made them feel.

Calm-Down Corner – Create a cozy spot with a stuffed animal, pillow, or blanket where your child can go when they need to calm down.

Este Mes en Nuestro Programa de Niños Pequeños: Aprendiendo Sobre las Emociones
Este mes, nuestros pequeños exploradores estarán aprendiendo sobre las emociones: qué son, cómo se sienten y cómo manejarlas de una manera saludable. A través de cuentos, canciones y juegos, los niños aprenderán a reconocer diferentes emociones en ellos mismos y en los demás. También estaremos trabajando en el autoconocimiento, ayudándolos a construir confianza y a comprender mejor quiénes son.
Actividades para Hacer en Casa
Aquí compartimos algunas actividades sencillas que las familias pueden hacer en casa para continuar con el aprendizaje:

Caritas de Emociones – Dibujen o impriman caras con diferentes emociones (feliz, triste, enojado, sorprendido). Pídale a su hijo que las nombre y que haga la misma cara frente al espejo.

Chequeo de Sentimientos – Cada mañana o antes de dormir, pregúntele a su hijo: “¿Cómo te sientes hoy?” y permítale señalar o decir una palabra de emoción.

Emociones con Música – Escuchen distintos tipos de música (rápida, lenta, suave, fuerte) y bailen juntos. Luego, hablen de cómo la música los hizo sentir.

Rincón de la Calma – Cree un espacio acogedor con un peluche, una almohada o una manta donde su hijo pueda ir cuando necesite tranquilizarse.

Pre-writting/Pre-escritura
We will develop our fine motor skills: inserting and removing objects, threading buttons, tearing, kneading, scratching, painting, wrinkling and making projects with various materials.
Desarrollaremos nuestra motricidad fina: Meter y sacar objetos, enhebrar botones, rasgando, amasando, rayando, pintando, arrugando y realizando proyectos con materiales variados.
Orange Day - Dia del color naranja
Bring something orange or wear something orange!
Traer algo naranja o vestirse con algo de color naranja!!
*Please speak to your child about following classroom rules.
*Please practice with your child how to put on and take off his/ her shoes.
*If your child comes to school wearing rain or snow boots, please send regular school shoes in his/her book bag.
*Please make sure to send an extra uniform and a folder in your child’s bag.
*Our children must wear MNM shirts and follow the dress code
color: dark blue or black pants and blue,
black, or white velcro sneakers.
*Visit the library and spend quality time reading to your child.
* Por favor recuerde a su niño(a) seguir las reglas del salón.
* Por favor practique con su niño(a) cómo ponerse y quitarse los tenis.
* No olvide que si su niño(a) llega a la escuela con botas de lluvia o nieve,
debe traer sus tenis regulares en el maletin.
* Por favor asegúrese de enviar un uniforme extra y la carpeta en el maletin de su niño(a).
* Nuestros niño(as) deben utilizar camisetas de MNM y seguir el código de vestuario: pantalón negro o azul oscuro y tenis
con cierre de “velcro.”
* Visite la biblioteca con su niño(a) y comparta tiempo de calidad con el/ella leyéndole.
