Upcoming School Events
Halloween is in the air. Students are already gearing up for Trick-or-Treating. To celebrate at Quest, we will be participating in our Annual Quest Halloween Costume Parade on Thursday, October 29th at 2:00 PM. Students will be allowed to dress up in costumes that adhere to the following guidelines:
- Students should wear their costumes to school and be prepared to wear them all day.
- Costumes should not distract from learning, either your child’s or another’s.
- No Halloween masks may be worn.
- No face paint.
- No costumes with sound effects, lights or other components that may disrupt the learning environment.
- Costumes should be modest, tasteful and appropriate for a school environment.
- Costumes must permit students to sit and participate in the learning process for the day.
- Students with P.E. should wear or bring shoes that are safe for P.E. activities.
- Because we have younger students on our campus, we ask that scary characters not be part of the day (Scream, Chuckie, Jason, etc.)
- Toy or facsimile weapons are not allowed. (swords, guns, knives, etc)
- Students whose costumes do not meet the standards will be asked to call home for a change of clothing.
At 2:00 PM, Quest Kindergarten students will begin leading the annual Quest K-5 Halloween parade outside (weather permitting). Parents are welcome to attend by lining up along the sidewalk in front of the school to see all of our ghosts and goblins. While we anticipate that this will be a quick parade, we are at the mercy of small feet walking.
For any student not able to participate due to religious beliefs or parent preference, we will have supervision on the playground during the parade. If parents do not want their child to participate, they should communicate this with their child's homeroom teacher as soon as possible.
Scholastic Book Fair Coming Next Week!!!
Here is a link to our online shop:
https://www.scholastic.com/bf/auroraquestk8school
Please feel free to set up an eWallet for your kiddos to use when purchasing or stop in before or after school, Tuesday-Thursday to view and purchase alongside them. They will also be coming in with their classes or throughout the day to preview and purchase. A third option to purchase is viewing the online shop and purchasing to have the books sent directly to you! Hopefully one of those options works for you and your family! :)
If you have any specific questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to me, Jen Colquhoun at jjcolquhoun@aurorak12.org.
Spirit Day - Pick a buddy to participate!
We're shifting away from Spirit Week to Spirit Days once a month to encourage more participation, community building and to curtail the pressure of cramming events into one week.
All Proceeds Support Student Council's Positive Behavior Incentives

To be eligible, candidates must be a paid member of the Aurora Quest PTA (or agree to join shortly after accepting the position) and cannot share a household with any other board member who holds check-signing authority, such as the President or designated alternate officers. If you are organized, passionate about our school community, and eager to make a meaningful impact. Please reach out by October 29th, 2026.
