Dear Families,

What an incredible week we've had at Palmer River Elementary School!

We kicked things off with a special visit from our soon-to-be DRRHS graduates on Wednesday. Former PRES students paraded through our hallways, posed for selfies with staff, and high-fived our current students. It was a heartwarming and inspiring event that reminded us how our school community continues to shape students well beyond their early years.

On Thursday, we were proud to showcase our students' creativity at the Art Show, where their talent and dedication truly shined. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Beaulieu for raising the bar each year and creating such an inspiring display of beautiful artwork that continues to ignite a love for the arts in our school.

Equally inspiring was the Fourth Grade Chorus Performance — their voices were full of joy, and their enthusiasm lit up the room. Bravo to Ms. Grant for delivering yet another memorable concert that helps empower our students through music and confidence.

Our third graders also continued their visits to the Carpenter Museum, where they explored the rich history of Rehoboth. It was a fantastic, hands-on learning experience that helps shape a deeper understanding of our local community and heritage.

To top it all off, we ended the week with the exciting Boosterthon Fun Run on Friday! The event was filled with school spirit, energy, and celebration. We are so proud of our students for their incredible effort and enthusiasm throughout the fundraiser. Events like this truly empower our students to work together, set goals, and support one another.

A sincere thank you to all the volunteers and our dedicated PRES staff who helped make each of these events so special, and to our amazing PTSA for their continued support — we couldn’t do it without you!

Wishing you all a restful and joyful weekend!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kristine Kefor, Principal

Boosterthon Family Update! Boosterthon Family Update!

We had a fantastic Boosterthon Fundraiser that culminated in an exciting school-wide Fun Run this morning! Everyone ran their hearts out and had an absolute blast—Yay!

We’re thrilled to share that we met two very important goals as a school this week, which means celebrations are coming!

First, we crushed our student registration goal with over 81% of our students registered for the fundraiser! To celebrate, we will have a school-wide pajama day on June 20th — get ready for cozy fun!

Next, our fundraising goal was $20,000, but thanks to everyone’s incredible support, we raised over $31,000 for our PTSA! Hooray! As a special reward, the principals will wear inflatable costumes for a day. Students voted on their favorite costume options: peacocks, parrots, flamingos, or bees. The winning costume is… Bees! 🐝🐝🐝🐝

We can’t wait to see the principals buzzing around in their bee costumes—stay tuned for the big day!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this fundraiser such a success!

Physicals STILL Needed for 4th Graders!!

This is a quick reminder for families of our 4th-grade students: I’m still missing over half of the required physicals that need to be submitted for your child to transition smoothly into middle school next year. These physicals are essential as they help ensure that our students are healthy and ready for the physical demands of middle school, including sports.

  • Please submit your child’s physical exam form as soon as possible. You can email or bring the form to the nurse.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school community healthy! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at eferreira@drregional.org

Wishing you all good health and a wonderful spring season!

Kind Regards,

Upcoming Elections for the Board Upcoming Elections for the Board

Our PTSA is gearing up for the upcoming election, and… we’re currently flying solo. That’s right—no nominations yet. Most urgently, we can’t move forward without a Secretary (seriously, the bylaws say so). Without a full board, many of the fun events and helpful programs we all love (and our kids look forward to!) could see major changes. Don’t worry, we promise it’s not all Robert’s Rules and spreadsheets. There’s laughter, friendships, and the chance to make a real impact.

Elections will be held at our membership meeting on June 12, 2025 at 6:30pm and more information can be found on our website (rehobothptsa.org/Elections). Nominate yourself or someone else today!
