Fairmount Elementary

Welcome Back!
Welcome back to a brand-new school year! We are thrilled to have your children back in the classrooms, filling our hallways with energy, laughter, and excitement for learning. Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the first time—welcome to Fairmount!
At Fairmount, we believe that school attendance is directly connected to student success. When students are at school each day and on time, they benefit from consistent learning, stronger relationships with teachers and classmates, and greater academic growth. We know mornings can be busy, but every minute counts—and we appreciate your partnership in making daily, on-time attendance a priority this year.
We’re also excited to invite you to some of the special events we have planned to strengthen our school community:
🍩
All Pro Dad Breakfast
Join us each month for a morning of connection, encouragement, and quality time between students and the father figures in their lives. These mornings are a powerful way to build strong relationships and values. Our first meeting will be Tuesday August 12 at 7:15!
❤️
Breakfast with Someone You Love
This heartwarming event is a chance for any special person in a student’s life—parents, grandparents, guardians, or family friends—to come and share breakfast together. It’s always a favorite event for our kids, and we can’t wait to see you there. Our first breakfast is Thursday August 21 at 7:15!
Together, let’s make this year one of growth, celebration, and strong attendance habits. Your support at home makes all the difference, and we are here to work with you every step of the way.
If you have any questions or need support throughout the year, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re looking forward to a fantastic year at Fairmount!
Row the Boat
aA Fairmount Elementary we believe in RoWINing the Boat together for student success! Below is a little bit about rowing the boat.
There are 3 parts to rowing the boat.
•The first part is the oar, the oar is the energy we bring to our life, our family, our relationships, our work it’s the only thing that moves the boat.
•Number 2 is the boat. The boat is what are you willing sacrifice to meet your goals or the determination to keep getting up when you get knocked down.
•Number 3 is the compass. The compass is the direction of your life set by the leader of your life, but also who you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with elite people, you are probably going to do elite things, if you surround yourself with bad people, you are probably going to get caught up in bad situations.
•When you row a boat, your back is to the future you cannot see it or control it you do not know what calm seas or rough waters are ahead of you. You just continue to keep your oar in the water in the present because that is the only thing you can control. You decide whether you pull your oar out of the water or continue rowing and learn from your past mistakes and continue to row the boat, but you are looking at your past which is the only thing you cannot change but you can learn from. When you row the boat, everyone is in one line rowing in the same direction with the same speed and efficiency to get from point A to point B in the in the most efficient and fastest way possible. My hope is that we all are in the same boat rowing to help our students become future leaders in our community.
